As a child, Julia Brown was fascinated by handbells. At age 14 she joined her church’s bell choir, and she continued ringing at St. Olaf College, where she graduated in 2007 with a degree in chemistry. Julia puts her degree to good use working in the quality control chemistry lab of a pharmaceutical drug company. In her free time she enjoys running, biking, sports of all kinds, piano, choir and reading.

Julia joins Bells of the Lakes in the fall of 2008 as an alternate ringer.
