Seminar for Ringers and Directors
Seminar for Ringers and Directors is our annual, one-day workshop hosted by Bells of the Lakes. Ringers and Directors are invited to attend classes, network with peers, and observe a Bells of the Lakes rehearsal. This event is a wonderful way to kick off a new season of ringing with your home choirs and an opportunity to learn new skills and brush up on old ones. Please join us!
Seminar 2025
Join us this summer for our seminar to encourage and educate handbell ringers and directors. Choose from three different tracks:
- Director’s Enrichment – conducting, recruitment, choosing music, bells in worship, score study, and more
- Ringer’s Toolbox – technique refreshers for the treble, battery & bass section, sightreading, malleting, ringing with musicality, and more
- Ringing 101 – ringing technique, damping styles, basic care of the bells, handbell notation, handchimes, and more
Classes run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with an open instructive concert by Bells of the Lakes at 3:00 p.m.
This year’s Seminar also includes a box lunch. Classes are taught by members of Bells of the Lakes. Registration is $60. But, register by June 1st and take advantage of the early registration fee of $40.
