Bells of the Lakes

$15.00

We play together in rehearsal and in concert because we love to, and because we relish an approach to handbell ringing which strives for musicality and style. For our first public recording, we are sharing some of our favorite music — some older classics of the handbell literature, as well as some recent contributions to the rich repertoire we all enjoy. It comes in a variety of styles, and includes original works for handbells and some transcriptions and arrangements of other music.

Some of the music included on the album:

  • Pie Jesu (from Requiem) – Gabriel Faure, arr. W. H. Mathis (2:38)

  • Elegy – William A. Payn (6:02)

  • Takeda Rhapsody – Tomoko Kanzaki (2:45)

  • Froelich Tanze – Karen Lakey Buckwalter (2:36)

  • Georgia on My Mind – Hoagy Carmichael, arr. Hart Morris (3:10)

  • Spring Sea – Michio Miyagai, arr. Hirotaka Arai (7:07)

  • Beside Still Waters – Howard F. Starks (3:48)

  • March of the Dwarves – Edvard Grieg, arr. Betty B. Garee (4:24)

  • God With Us For All Time – Betty B. Garee (5:51)
